From behind the lens, thoughts from the mind of the photographer...

Well, here I am, in all my glory, writing my first blog post! I am excited and nervous all at the same time. What do I write about, what do I say? Am I interesting enough to capture the attention of my readers? I guess time will tell, but for now, lets start with a little bit about 6:05 Photography. My husband and I started 6:05 Photography in Milton, Florida in July of 2014. Here we are in all of our craziness, (special thanks to Diana Clark Photography of Santa Rosa Beach, FL for capturing some amazing images of our family).

We have both had a love of photography for many years, but never pursued it more than as a hobby. After a lot of research, discussion, and shopping (yay!), we purchased our first DSLR camera. I have always had point and shoot digital cameras, so looking at that bad boy and trying to figure out how it worked put me into a serious state of panic. We bought the "for Dummies" books, scoured the internet, and practice, practice, practiced! We decided we needed to take some classes at the college and hoped for the best...

Luckily, I have extremely photogenic and patient kids, so they were the lucky recipients of MANY photo sessions! It has been almost two years now and we have grown and changed in many ways. As you can see in the photo above, we started out as J and C Photography. We decided we wanted something a little more, memorable, and thus, 6:05 Photography was born! The 6 stands for June and the 05 is for the day we got married. 6/05 Photography looked weird, so we decided making it like a time would be much more memorable. I, personally, find people very interesting and I love to photograph them. He prefers to shoot landscapes, buildings, and other things he finds interesting.

I guess between the two of us, we are a good match because we are able to take pretty much any type of picture a person may want. We are constantly expanding our knowledge and strive to always improve on everything we do, and it feels like our photography shows just that.

Our goal at 6:05 Photography is to put you at ease, deliver your desired images, and be your "go to" photographer every time you need us! My specialties include boudoir, family, wedding, and new born photography. I absolutely love being able to capture lasting memories for you and your family!

So, that's us in a nutshell, the "Reader's Digest" version if you will. My first blog post, I hope, was enough to keep your attention as well as enough to answer any questions you may have about us and what we do.
